NGNP Stewardship

The team behind the development of the Next Generation Nuclear Plant (NGNP) understands the responsibility to ensure natural resources are properly managed. Stewardship requires our participation in the careful and responsible management of air, land and water to ensure these resources are preserved for present and future generations. As our project grows, we are looking at ways to reduce and safely store the waste associated with nuclear energy production. The high temperature gas-cooled reactor's advanced design doesn't use the large volume of water for cooling that a light water reactor requires. The reactor, when integrated into industrial process, can also greatly reduce carbon dioxide emissions. It is important to use all of the energy options available to meet the needs of our diverse economy.
